Denver Business Journal is reporting that a bill (HB 1001) passed the Colorado state legislature that may create a possible 23,000 jobs in the solar power industry within the next 10 years.
It would require XCell Energy to get 30% of it’s power from renewable sources the journal is reporting.
The bill would require that state utilities get 3% of it’s energy from rooftops and commercial lots that function as small to mid-sized solar power plants anyway.
HB1001 next heads to their state senate for a vote.
Details at the Denver Business Journal.
