ANANTH Technologies has inaugurated a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit at KIADB Aerospace Park, Bengaluru. The 15,000 m² facility will meet the needs of government and private companies.
The Spacecraft Manufacturing Unit was inaugurated by Dr. S. Somanath, Secretary of the Space Department and President of ISRO. “India’s space program over the past six decades has gone through multiple milestones. Today, India can build, assemble and launch its own satellites. With ISRO at the forefront of space programs, partnerships with private organizations will help India take its space program to the next level. I am sure India’s space policy will allow us to build satellites not only for domestic consumption but also for the international market. India’s policy on remote sensing data and the policy on launchers are in line and will help advance Indian space programs. ANANTH Technologies has taken a huge leap of faith and India needs more such entrepreneurs and many more such partners to revolutionize our space program,” he said.
ANANTH Technologies’ manufacturing unit is the first of its kind. It is capable of simultaneously performing the assembly, integration and testing of four large spacecraft. The four units are independent of each other and capable of performing end-to-end process integration in four different classes of spacecraft.
Since its creation in 1992, ANANTH Technologies has contributed to the manufacture of 89 satellites and 69 launchers built/launched by ISRO, including two satellites for European customers that ISRO had built in collaboration with Airbus, France. Over the years, ANANTH has delivered spacecraft subsystems, namely TMTC, Power, AOCE, BMU, solar collectors, star trackers, solar arrays, SPS and end-to-end payload packages for all classes of satellites built by ISRO. , including special missions like Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan and Gaganyaan.
“India is poised to revolutionize the spacecraft industry. As a nation, we are capable of manufacturing world-class spacecraft. Over the years, ANANTH Technologies has successfully contributed to major ISRO launches. With the opening of this new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, ANANTH Technologies is poised to add tremendous value to the Indian space program,” said Dr. Subba Rao Pavuluri, President and CEO of ANANTH Technologies.
ANANTH Technologies has supported both – Indian government agencies (Department of Space) and private companies – with locally designed and developed products, which is in line with the vision of the Honorable Prime Minister of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India.
