EFI Reggiani opens new state-of-the-art digital textile campus

EFI Reggiani, the industrial textile printing business of Electronics For Imaging, Inc. (EFI), has opened a new textile campus to accommodate continued growth. The new 20,000 square meter campus at Comun Nuovo, Bergamo, Italy, is expected to be completed in mid-2023.

“EFI Reggiani has always worked diligently to take our offerings to the next level, thinking of the future and developing high-tech, high-quality and reliable textile solutions,” said Adele Genoni, SVP and GM of EFI Reggiani. “The new campus is an important step in our journey, and demonstrates EFI’s strong commitment to further develop the textile business unit. Not only will this provide us with more space to continue our growth, but it will also be a welcoming and sustainable environment for our employees.

The new facility was designed with environmental sustainability and employee well-being in mind. This goal includes plans to install 400 kilowatts of solar panels providing 60% of the facility’s total energy needs. In addition, the building will benefit from superior thermal insulation which will ensure a reduction in heating and air conditioning costs. Multiple skylights throughout the facility will provide better natural lighting and reduced use of artificial lighting.

Green spaces on campus were a priority in the design process, covering approximately 20% of the total area. For a more welcoming work environment, the campus will also have a canteen and a gymnasium for the use of employees.

A 3,000 square meter demonstration center in the new facility will be nearly twice the size of EFI Reggiani’s current demonstration center in Grassobbio, Italy, providing a high-end, high-tech showcase for EFI Reggiani in the cutting edge of technology. printers, as well as Mezzera pre- and post-processing and Jaeggli yarn processing products. The demo center will also showcase EFI Reggiani’s recently acquired portfolio of raster image processing (RIP) and Inèdit workflow software solutions.
