Mann Ki Baat Highlights: India a Leading Country in Solar Energy, Says Prime Minister Modi


Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the 94th edition of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The program takes place on the last Sunday of each month, through which the Prime Minister interacts with the nation. Its first show had aired on October 3, 2014. The half-hour radio show hosted by PM Modi airs on the last Sunday of every month. Mann Ki Baat program aired on All India Radio and Doordarshan, AIR News website and newsonair mobile app. It was streamed live on the YouTube channels of AIR News, DD News, PMO and Information and Broadcasting Ministry. The regional language of the Prime Minister’s address will be broadcast after the Hindi broadcast.

Extending Chhath Puja greetings on his monthly Mann Ki Baat radio show, Prime Minister Modi said that Chhath Puja is a prime example of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”. “Chhath festival is also an example of Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat. Today, wherever the people of Bihar and Purvanchal are in any corner of the country, Chhath is celebrated with great pomp,” a- he added.

The Prime Minister also explained how solar energy is changing the lives of the country’s poor and middle class.

After the radio broadcast, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the C-295 aircraft manufacturing plant in Vadodara.
