Selva Ozelli’s Biodiversity Day Art Exhibits at UN Biodiversity & CUHK Jockey Club Climate Change Museum

The theme for Biodiversity Day 2022 is “Building a Shared Future for All Life” to continue to build momentum and support the post-2020 global biodiversity framework to be adopted at the next Conference of United Nations on Biodiversity #COP15.

The COP15 Conference includes the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the tenth Meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety (Cartagena Protocol COP/MOP 10) and the fourth Meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit Sharing (Nagoya Protocol COP/MOP 4).

CBD COP 15 will review the achievement and implementation of the CBD Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. It is also expected that the final decision on the post-2020 global biodiversity framework will be taken, along with decisions on related topics, including capacity building and resource mobilization.

COP15 will take place in Kunming, China, from August 29 to September 9, 2022 [tentative].

Biodiversity remains the answer to a green recovery from the pandemic as well as several sustainability challenges. Nature-based solutions are a response to climate, health issues, food and water security, and sustainable livelihoods.
